About Calm Beings

Calm Beings is a space for adults, families and children, bringing together simple resources and ideas to help make everyday life feel a little calmer, more connected and enjoyable.

It grew from a love of calm spaces, creativity, movement, nature and quiet moments, alongside lessons learnt in teaching, yoga and curating.

There are three parts to Calm Beings:

Calm Spaces — ideas for creating homes and surroundings that feel calm, comfortable and good to be in.

Calm Body & Mind — simple practices including breathing, movement, relaxation and meditation, to dip into whenever you need a moment.

Calm for Children — gentle, creative resources inspired by my experience as a teacher, helping children explore calm, feelings and connection.

Calm Beings is about making a little more room for the things that matter.

Nia - Founder & Creator

I’m Nia, a primary teacher and the person behind Calm Beings.

I’ve always been drawn to the simple things that help us feel grounded — being outdoors, making things, creating calm spaces, moving our bodies and taking time to pause.

My work as a teacher and curator, together with my love of creativity, yoga and meditation, has shaped the way I think about calm and wellbeing.

As I create a simpler life in France, Calm Beings brings these interests together in one place — a little collection of things I genuinely enjoy and find useful, shaped by life in Cornwall now and the life I’m slowly creating in France.
